You may also enjoy a glass of Croatian wine on the terrace of the hotel, looking at the sea which on a calm day resembles a huge aquarium. Once you get there, you must try the traditional Croatian specialties, the soups, the traditional ham and cheese. Everyone is friendly and will make you feel among friends. One of the special charms of this hotel is the personnel. The hotel is simple but very tastefully furnished, IKEA style. With it's stone walls and wooden shutters, hotel Maestral blends perfectly in the island environment. Prvic Luka is strategically positioned between Vodice and Sibenik, two beautiful cities that have a lot to offer, but the island in itself is a perfect place for spending some days away from stress and from traffic, as there are no cars on the island. Situated on the peaceful island of Prvic Luka, this hotel is like a little gem waiting to be discovered. There are literally a handful of other restaurants on the island, but as they all serve quite similar food and have equally beautiful views, they just make for variety or to save a few pounds. The service is generous and extremely friendly - anything you want, just ask - and the food was absolutely delicious (easily the best on the island), especially enjoyed on the lovely terrace where you can watch the (very unbusy) world go by. It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for - rooms aren't massive but still extremely comfortable, very clean, modern and stylish, with amazing views (ask to face the harbour!), lovely bathrooms and wi-fi (at least in reception, if it doesn't quite reach your room). If you enjoy whiling away the hours sunbathing, reading, eating, drinking, strolling off to find secluded beaches, canoeing off to neighbouring islands and completely avoiding the crowds, then this is as near to perfect as you'll find in Eastern Europe IMO. I was travelling through Croatia with my girlfriend and we wanted to find a quiet spot for a few days of quiet relaxation in a beautiful spot - ! Prvic Luka itself is an extremely peaceful island with no cars allowed, just a few boats arriving every once in a while and locals bringing in the fishing catches making up half the people you'll encounter.
